This year, the Toronto Chinese Orchestra (TCO) is proud to invite Taiwan’s Dr. Chih-Sheng Chen to be our Guest Artistic Director and Conductor, and Soprano Ms. Xiaoping Hu as our Guest Artist. We will also have young local musicians showcase their artistic talents on traditional Chinese instruments, accompanied by TCO. To breathe new life into an art form that holds ancient roots, we will present a world premiere by our Composer-in-Residence, Tony KT Leung. Lastly, we will also have the Winner of our 2015 Conducting Competition, Matthew Poon, to lead us in two of the concertos.
