Meet one of our newest and youngest member, Jamie!
TCO: How long have you been with us?
J: Since November of 2009.
TCO: What keeps you coming back?
J: I think I keep coming back because of how much fun I have every Friday night. It’s really great to play, perform and practice together as an orchestra. It’s a lot better than just practicing by myself.
TCO: What instrument do you play and how long have you been playing?
J: I can play erhu. I have been playing for about 5 years.
TCO: How did you get started with this instrument?
J: I wanted to play another instrument, and my parents wanted me to explore instruments in our culture, so I decided to play the erhu.
TCO: What other instruments do you play?
J: I also play the piano and the flute at school. I can also play a bit of drums.
TCO: Other activities that you enjoy in your spare time?
J: I enjoy listening to music, reading, and just hanging out with my friends. I also like drawing and playing sports.
TCO: Anything you’d like to share with other TCO members and fans that to our concerts?
J: TCO is the best orchestra ever! I really enjoy it and I hope more people will join!
Good luck Jamie and practice hard for our upcoming concert in May!
