Meet Vicky, a member of the bowed string section.

TCO: How long have you been with the TCO?
V: Since March 2011.

TCO: What keeps you coming back?
V:  TCO gives me the opportunity to meet new friends and gain performing experiences. It is a good place to make friends outside school and share my music interests with them.

TCO: What instrument do you play and how long have you been playing?
V: I started playing Erhu when I was six; however, I stopped playing after learning it for five years. I didn’t start playing Erhu again until I came to Canada, and I got plenty of time to practice.

TCO: How did you get started with this instrument?
V: When I was in grade 1, students in my class were required to learn playing Erhu–as part of the school program. The program ended after one semester. My mom asked me if I want to continue studying Erhu, and I answered ‘Yes“.

TCO: What other instruments do you play?
V: Piano: 1 year; Violin: one year and a half (still learning)

TCO: Other activities that you enjoy on spare time?
V: I read a lot during my spare time, I also like eating =D

TCO: Anything you’d like to share with other TCO members and fans who come to the concerts?
V: Thanks for being so friendly and helpful to me >.< I will practice more to improve my playing skill and contribute to the concert.

We all work hard in order to create a great performance, so please support us 🙂
