Amy is a third-generation Chinese Canadian. She joined TCO in 2009, first in the erhu section before moving to the zhonghu section. Since 2017, she has also been the orchestra’s assistant librarian, helping organize, distribute, and transcribe parts for other musicians. Additionally, Amy plays piano and violin, and teaches children with special needs. She completed a B.A. in Linguistics and a TESOL Certificate from York University, and received graduate training as a Communicative Disorders Assistant from Durham College. In her spare time, Amy enjoys Chinese dancing.
